Thanks Everybody

I am ever so grateful for the feedback I recieve from my fellow bloggers. I appreciate every “Like,” every comment, every subscriber – and I appreciate every award nomination. I am a bit behind here – I find it difficult to keep up with all the awards that are passed around. To make things easier on myself, I will not be accepting the same award more than once.

Also, I am making my best effort to be mindful of others who have already been nominated, and those who have indicated that they do not want any more nominations – but I do want to pass on the honors!

So know that there are so many amazing bloggers out there, whose blogs are profound and inspiring, who will not be mentioned in this post. I have tried to reach out and explore, and discover some blogs new to me, and to keep the circle expanding…

Many thanks to Arjuna @ http://thewondrousdharma.com/ for being kind and generous enough to nominate The Sacred Art of Language for The Leibster Blog Award! Arjuna offers a delightful assortment of spiritual wisom from various teachers and traditions, and his blog is an unfailing source of beauty and inspiration – check it out, if you haven’t already!

In accepting this award, one is asked to pass it on to 5 other bloggers with less than 200 followers. So here goes:

And thanks also to Lewis @ http://fragmentsofragments.wordpress.com/ for nominating me for the One Lovely Blogger Award! His blog has become one of my personal favorites in recent weeks, I love his insights into life, philosophy and language – and I especially appreciate the stories he shares of the life and teachings of Master Gurdjieff. Do pay him a visit, you won’t be sorry!

As per the terms of this award, I will share 7 hitherto unknown facts about myself…

1. I love Indian food, culture, religion and music (although I have never been there…)

2. I love the summer time (right now in KC it’s more than 100 degrees – and it’s awesome!)

3. I like all kinds of comedy – from the most dry and subtle intellectual kind, to downright raunchy stand-up routines, stoner movies and slapstick comedy… what can I say? Laughter is divine!

4. I also love cartoons and kid’s movies. I watch many of them with my son, and they are often far superior to the junk that they market to adults… In fact the themes and stories contain deep Cosmic Truth nearly 100% of the time.

5. I am slowly and clumsily learning Spanish, and I have dreams of one day being a bilingual poet and writer.

6. In a previous post I mentioned some of my favorite books, and I left out one that I love SO much that it deserves mention all on it’s own: Leaves of Grass, by Walt Whitman. This has been one of the most influential books in my life, both in my spiritual journey and in finding my own voice as a poet.

7. You know how if you love cats, and everyone knows it, over the years you wind up collecting all sorts of cat pictures and knick-knacks and paraphernalia? Well, over the years I have accumulated an assortment of Buddha figurines, statues and idols… I guess my friends & family have me pretty well figured out…

Enough about me – I now pass on this nomination to these 10 lovely and deserving blogs:

http://erranttranscendentalist.wordpress.com/

http://onespaciousness.wordpress.com/

Thanks again to Arjuna @ http://thewondrousdharma.com/ for his nomination for the Thought Provoking Blog Award. The Wondrous Dharma offers some of the most thought-provoking quotes and gems of wisdom to be found anywhere. I would like to nominate the following blogs & bloggers in turn, for their consistently brilliant and thought-provoking content:

http://julienmatei.com/

http://talesfromthelou.wordpress.com/

http://shivahaoma.wordpress.com/

http://fragmentsofragments.wordpress.com/

And finally, thanks to Paul @ http://restinginawareness.com/ for passing along to me The Commentator’s Award! Paul is a fountain of wisdom and insight on non-duality and the true nature of life and existence, and a tireless advocate of “resting as awareness.” Check out his blog, it’s another of my personal favorites.

This award is a bit of a mystery to me… the guidelines are rather vague but it seems like a good thing to the extent that it encourages comments and sharing between us bloggers! So in that spirit, I nominate the following folks with whom I have had fruitful discussion in the comment boxes:

http://bloodinkdiary.wordpress.com/

http://rowingthroughlife.wordpress.com/

http://samadhiyaisha.com/

So thanks everybody for reading, and for showing your love and support. If you see any links above that are new to you, be sure to explore! Whatever you find – rants, revelations, poetry, or some other form of madness – comes with my personal guarantee to be worth reading and contemplating!

Yours in Oneness,

~ Ben
